A physio-osteopath aims to restore the normal function and stability of the joints to help the body heal itself.
They use their hands to treat the body in a variety of ways, using a mixture of gentle and forceful techniques.
Techniques are chosen based on the individual patient and the symptoms they have reported.
These include:
massage – to release and relax muscles,
stretching stiff joints
articulation – where your joints are moved through their natural range of motion.
high-velocity thrusts – short, sharp movements to the spine, which normally produce a clicking noise similar to cracking your knuckles.
These techniques aim to reduce pain, improve movement and encourage blood flow.
Osteopathy is not usually painful, although it's not unusual to feel sore or stiff in the first few days after treatment, particularly if you're having treatment for a painful or inflamed injury.

Upon arrival, Dr Javier allowed me a moment to relax before the treatment. He offered me a bottle of water to ensure I was hydrated. He asked a lot of questions to get to know my situation better and was very thorough in the treatment. His assessment was undeniably accurate. No language barrier existed as he speaks fluently in both Spanish and English.
The treatment itself consisted of myofacial release massage, electro stimulation, and heat pads. I fell into a deep sleep at one point during the treatment; it was so relaxing.
Afterward, I felt as if I had been sleeping soundly for many hours and my body felt mush lighter.
I can't wait to go back for my next treatment.

No exagero al decir que desde la primera sesión hubo una mejora INCREÍBLE. Sin duda lo recomiendo como un profesional empático y amigable que además crea un ambiente agradable en cada sesión.
