I have a small sore , like a kangcar that I can feel with my Tounge . It is on the lower right side

I have a small sore , like a kangcar that I can feel with my Tounge . It is on the lower right side on my bottom gum. There also appears to be a ridge that sticks out notcibly different then the other side. it does hurt from with sharp pain but not all the time. I have had this since the end of April
